Suspects Arrested in Armed Carjacking

The NOPD has arrested Harold Foster (pictured at left, DOB: 12-02-1990) and Marc Dalton (pictured at right, DOB: 08-21-1990) in the investigation of an armed carjacking that occurred on April 12, 2020 in the 3200 block of St. Peter Street.

At about 4:40 p.m., both victims were reportedly seated inside a vehicle when three unknown black males approached. One subject then allegedly produced a handgun, pointed it at the driver and demanded the victims exit the vehicle and relocate into the back seat. The other two subjects entered the vehicle, at which time all involved fled from the location.

The victims were later released by their captors in another area, and the suspects fled. The victims flagged down a citizen for help. Detectives were able to track the vehicle to the 7200 Block of Downman Road, in the Seventh District, where the vehicle attempted to flee and then crashed in the 4800 block of Downman Road. The two pictured subjects, later identified as Foster and Dalton, were located and arrested after they exited the vehicle. The third subject in the original incident was not located in the car and remains at large.

Both Foster and Dalton were booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for aggravated flight from an officer, two counts of simple kidnapping, two counts of armed robbery and one count of illegal carrying of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact NOPD First District detectives at 504-658-6010.
