NOPD Arrests Suspect Involved in Fourth District Shooting Incident

New Orleans – The NOPD arrested Troy Mars (pictured, DOB: 8/21/1991) for his alleged involvement in an aggravated battery by shooting incident that occurred on April 13, 2020.

At around 2:35 p.m., Mars was driving a vehicle on U.S. 90 at General DeGaulle when he allegedly approached the victim’s vehicle.  Mars reportedly fired two shots at the victim’s car, striking it and the victim.  Mars was later apprehended on April 16, 2020 in the 8900 block of Oak Street.

Mars is being charged with aggravated second-degree battery, aggravated assault with a firearm, and illegal possession of firearm by a convicted felon.
