NOPD Identifies Subject Wanted in Home Invasion in Seventh District

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Shelton Frey (DOB: 06-23-1992) in connection with an incident that occurred in the 14700 block of Chef Menteur Highway on March 28, 2019.

Frey has been positively identified as the perpetrator who reportedly forced his way into the victim’s residence as a guest was exiting. Frey then allegedly approached the victim as she was in her bedroom asleep and confronted the victim, demanding money as he reportedly pulled a firearm from his waistband and racked the gun’s slide. Frey then reportedly slapped the victim with the back of his hand before fleeing the location.

A warrant was obtained for Frey’s arrest on charges of aggravated burglary, aggravated assault with a firearm and simple battery.
