Weekly Arrests Round-Up:  April 10 – 16, 2017

NOPD officers made multiple arrests last week including suspects wanted in connection with such offenses as armed robbery, attempted murder aggravated battery, attempted carjacking, and possession of narcotics. Officers also confiscated two firearms. 

 

April 10

Darnell Doucet (DOB:  4/25/98) for attempted armed robbery with a firearm, illegal discharge of a firearm while attempting to commit a crime of violence, and aggravated second degree battery. The incident occurred in the 7800 block of Parc Brittany Boulevard on March 31, 2017, and he was apprehended in the 3800 block of Havana Street.

 

Linden Andrews (7/26/99) for attempted armed robbery with a firearm, illegal discharge of a firearm while attempting to commit a crime of violence, and aggravated second degree battery. Andrews was arrested in the 7500 block of Crestmont Road and the incident occurred in the 7800 block of Parc Brittany Boulevard on March 31, 2017.

 

Dion Richard (DOB: 3/27/99) for attempted armed robbery with a firearm, illegal discharge of a firearm while attempting to commit a crime of violence, and aggravated second degree battery. The incident occurred in the 7800 block of Parc Brittany Boulevard on March 31, 2017, and Richard was apprehended today in the 100 block of Morrison Court.

 

Thomas Stewart (DOB: 06-24-93) criminal damage to historic building/landmark. Stewart was arrested in the Eighth District after he was seen spray painting graffiti on St. Louis Cathedral.

 

 

April 11

Danny Doxon (DOB: 6-27-88) for attempted carjacking and armed robbery. The incident took place on April 3, 2017, in the 3200 block of Bienville and he was arrested upon his release from University Medical Center.

 

Bruce Wallace (DOB: 09-18-1959) for theft and criminal trespassing. The incident took place on April 4, 2017, in the 5200 block of St. Claude Avenue.

 

 

April 12

Denise Bright (DOB: 6/08/1983) for armed robbery and theft. The incident occurred at the intersection of Bordeaux and Carondelet streets on March 11, 2017. She was apprehended in the 3400 block of Humanity Street.

 

 

April 13

Tyrin E. Wiltz (DOB: 12-06-94) for two counts of possession of Schedule I controlled substances with intent to distribute, one count of possession of a Schedule IV controlled substances with intent to distribute,  illegal carrying of a weapon while in possession of narcotics, and various traffic violations. He was apprehended at the corner of Hayne Boulevard and Downman Road. Officers also confiscated a handgun.

 

Isiah Miller (DOB: 07-25-1987) for resisting arrest by flight and attempt to purchase contraband, and parole violations. Miller was apprehended after he fled onto the campus of Xavier University.

 

Gregory Givens (DOB: 04-22-1961) for possession of marijuana and cocaine with intent to distribute, traffic infractions and parole violations. He was arrested on South Carrollton Avenue.

 

 

April 14

Terrance Leavell (DOB: 5/07/1977) for attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The incident occurred at the intersection of Desire Street and N. Derbigny Street on December 1, 2016, and he was arrested in the 7000 block of Lawrence Road. 

 

Josefa Wade (DOB:  7/27/1988) for theft. The incidents occurred at Wade’s place of employment in the 5700 block of Read Boulevard. She was arrested at her home.

 

 

April 15

Maurice Hicks (DOB: 1/5/1999) for aggravated battery by shooting. The incident took place in the 7400 block of Read Boulevard on April 7, 2017, and Hicks was surrendered to NOPD by a family member.

 

Talmadge Scott (DOB: 6/5/1994) for possession of narcotics and a handgun. Scott was apprehended during a traffic stop at the intersection of Benson Street and Curran Boulevard.

 

Michelle Bingham (DOB: 12/16/74) for aggravated battery by cutting. The incident and the arrest both took place in the 2800 block of Pauger Street

 

NOPD also arrested a juvenile for aggravated rape on April 11, 2017. The incident happened in the 1000 block of Conti and the suspect was apprehended shortly afterwards at Burgundy and Bienville streets.
