Two Juveniles Sought for Armed Robbery on Chef Menteur Highway

The NOPD needs the public’s assistance in locating two juveniles wanted in connection with an armed robbery.

The victims reported that on Sunday, April 2, 2017, at approximately 3 a.m., they were approached by two unknown black males in a parking lot in the 4800 block of Chef Menteur. One of the perpetrators was armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun and he demanded the victims’ property. The victims complied and the two suspects fled the scene on foot.

Through subsequent investigation the suspects were identified as Ian Ballard (DOB: 4/27/2001) and Ivan Ballard (DOB: 1/16/2003).

If you have information about this incident or the whereabouts of these individuals please contact Detective Jennifer Payne or any Third District detective at 504-658-6030. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.

Identifying Juvenile Suspects

The NOPD does not regularly provide information on juvenile suspects, but the Louisiana State Children’s Code allows law enforcement to identify juvenile suspects who are wanted for a felony-grade delinquent act.
