Tiger Unit Officers Named Bardell Co. Officers Of The Month

NOPD Tiger Unit officers Matthew Riffle and Charles Hoffacker both received the Officer of the Month Award during Coffee with Cops this weekend.

Both officers were nominated by their supervisors in the NOPD’s Tiger Unit for their proactive work in solving the Lakeview Harbor armed robbery which occurred back in June of 2016.

Chris Bardell, the owner and operator of more than a dozen McDonald’s restaurants in the Greater New Orleans area, started the recognition program in September as a way to reward NOPD patrol officers for the good work they do every day.

As part of the honor, the Bardell Co., awards the winning officers with a $750 scholarship, which will be split between both officers to participate in police training and leadership programs across the country. Since September, Bardell has given away more than $3,000 in scholarships.

Riffle and Hoffacker accepted their award on Saturday at the McDonald’s located at 3025 Elysian Fields Avenue.
