Suspect Wanted for Aggravated Rape on Chartres Street

Suspect Wanted for Aggravated Rape on Chartres Street

Wanted Subject:  The subject is described as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s. He’s about 5’10” in height and weighs approximately 180 to 190 pounds with a thin build. He has a light to medium complexion and was seen wearing a white crew neck t-shirt and blue jeans.

The NOPD’s Special Victims Section have developed a composite sketch of a perpetrator wanted for an aggravated rape.

The incident happened on April 16, 2017.  The victim told police at about 2:40 a.m., she left a local bar and began walking down the 1400 block of Chartres St.  As she was walking, the victim stated she observed an unknown male subject on the sidewalk.  The victim stated the subject sexually assaulted her and fled down Chartes Street toward Barracks Street then in an unknown direction.
