Suspect Identified in Armed Robbery at Bordeaux and Carondelet

Suspect Identified in Armed Robbery at Bordeaux and Carondelet

The NOPD has identified Denise Bright (DOB: 6/08/1983) as a suspect for an armed robbery near Bordeaux and Carondelet streets.

 

The victim reported that on March 11, 2017, at approximately 6 a.m., he accepted a ride from two unknown black females. Near the intersection of Bordeaux and Carondelet one of the females pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the victim and demanded his wallet and his cellphone. He complied and fled the vehicle. The victim’s debit card was then used multiple times at ATMs in the area.

 

During the subsequent investigation, Bright was developed as a suspect in the robbery. She is described as being 5’6” tall, weighing 147 pounds and having a unique hairstyle. 

Bright is wanted for armed robbery and unauthorized use of an access card.

Armed Robbery

In Louisiana, an armed robbery conviction requires the offender to be imprisoned at hard labor for 10 – 99 years, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. When a firearm is used in the commission of the crime, the offender will be imprisoned for an additional 5 years that will be served consecutively to the original sentence.
