Suspect Arrested after Officers find 35 Grams of Heroin

The NOPD's Specialized Investigation Division (SID) Major Case Narcotics Section has arrested Vlydraus Dupree (DOB: 8-13-1985) after he was found in possession of heroin with the intent to distribute the drugs.

On April 26, 2017, Major Case Narcotics executed a search warrant in the 2300 block of Gallier Street. Dupree was located, arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school and possession with the intent to distribute heroin. 

During the search, officers located 34 grams of heroin and $870 inside of the residence.

The subject was additionally charged with two outstanding warrants and is currently on parole till 2021 for narcotics and weapons violations.
