Today (January 13, 2025), the NOPD released its 2024 crime statistics, compiling and comparing data on overall crime in the city of New Orleans, calls for service and response times, domestic violence incidents and Special Victims Division information.

The following are quarterly reports of NOPD Special Victims Division sex crime statistics and domestic violence statistics compiled by the NOPD Analytics Unit for the fourth quarter of 2024. Please note that these figures are preliminary and subject to further analysis and revision.

The NOPD today (January 10, 2025) released to media critical incident video from an officer-involved shooting incident that occurred during the terrorist attack on January 1, 2025, at the intersection of Bourbon and Iberville streets.
