The NOPD has arrested Kirk Jefferson (not pictured, black male, DOB: 08-21-1987) in the investigation of a traffic fatality that occurred during the early hours today (June 11, 2022) on Interstate 10 East near RIdgeway Drive that left one person dead.

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating a vehicle of interest and its occupant(s) at the time of a fatal hit-and-run crash on May 10, 2022, at the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Downman Road.
