The NOPD today (August 13, 2024) announces the arrest of Jakoz King (black male, DOB; 12-11-2006) of Reserve, La., in its investigation of a homicide that occurred on August 10, 2024, at the intersection of Bourbon and Saint Louis streets.

The NOPD and the U.S. Marshals Task Force today (July 25, 2024) arrested Brandon Laurant (black male, DOB: 04-14-1984) on multiple charges following a standoff incident that occurred in the 1800 block of Washington Avenue.

On July 1, 2024, the NOPD arrested three suspects in the investigation of a homicide that occurred on June 30, 2024, in the 700 block of Saint Peter Street.

Through a joint effort from multiple law enforcement agencies, two wanted suspects have been identified and arrested in the NOPD’s investigation of a homicide that occurred on June 22, 2024, in the 600 block of Bourbon Street.
