NOPD Eighth District detectives are looking for assistance from citizens in identifying and locating two unknown black males believed to be responsible for an auto theft in the 1600 block of Pauger Street on December 2, 2016.

UPDATE: Suspect Arrested for Human Trafficking, Aggravated Assault

UPDATE: Eighth District officers quickly arrested Michael Young (DOB: 10-19-1982) today (Dec. 5) at around 5:49 p.m. during an active search in the district. Officers Shanay Howard, Miles Guirreri, Sgt. Roy Guggenheim and Lt. Sandra Contreras spotted Young sitting on a bench near the Hilton Riverside hotel in the Eighth District. Officers were able to place Young under arrest without incident.

NOPD plainclothes detectives on foot patrol on St. Louis Street captured a pickpocket who took a man’s wallet last night (Dec. 5).

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating a suspect wanted in connection with an auto burglary that occurred on November 27, 2016 in the 600 block of St. Peter Street.

One of Four Suspects in Kidnapping at Conti and Dauphine Surrenders to NOPD

Today (Dec. 2), one of four suspects wanted in a November 17 kidnapping at the intersection of Conti and Dauphine streets turned herself in to NOPD First District officers.
