NOPD Joins LHSC in Reminding Drivers to “Buckle Up in Your Truck”

The NOPD recently received a grant from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission that will allow officers to participate in the “Buckle Up in Your Truck” program, in a high-visibility enforcement and awareness campaign April 17-24 to encourage seat belt usage and reduce unrestrained fatalities among our pick-up truck drivers and passengers.

NOPD'S February Arrest for Violent Offenses

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Police Department made 30 arrests for violent offenses in February 2021 compared to 27 arrests during the same period last year.  The arrests are for a myriad of offenses including homicide, aggravated battery, and armed carjackings.
