This Thanksgiving holiday, the NOPD is teaming up with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on a high-visibility “Click It or Ticket” seat belt awareness campaign.

An off-duty NOPD officer was the victim of an armed robbery that occurred at around 10:35 p.m. on October 13, 2022, in the 300 block of North Rendon Street. The NOPD Force Investigation is leading the ongoing investigation.

NOPD to Conduct Upcoming Sobriety Checkpoint

The NOPD’s Traffic Division will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Orleans Parish. The checkpoint will operate between the hours of 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2022, through 5 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022.
