NOPD Superintendent Michael Harrison, New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell and Crimestoppers GNO President & CEO Darlene Cusanza, updated media on the ongoing investigation into the fatal shootings that occurred in the 3400 block of South Claiborne Avenue on July 28, 2018.

The NOPD is preparing for the 35th Annual Kelly Marrione National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. Superintendent Michael Harrison is encouraging all community members to host a neighborhood block party to raise awareness of best-practices for preventing and reporting crime.

On August 20, 2018, members of the NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad arrested Maurice Williams (DOB: 08-17-1987), who is a suspect in a shooting incident that occurred in St. Tammany Parish.

The New Orleans Police Department, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) are enforcing the ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ campaign to help keep impaired drivers off the road.

The NOPD VOWS Unit and U.S. Marshals today (August 15, 2018) arrested Nas Jackson (DOB: 09-11-1998) in connection with a 2015 homicide incident as well as in connection with an attempted homicide incident that occurred earlier this month.
