Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating a double shooting that left an unknown woman dead and another woman injured. The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of family members. The offense occurred around 3:35 p.m., in the 7100 block of Chef Menteur Highway.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members. The offense occurred shortly after 7:45 p.m., at the intersection of South Laverne Street and Virgilian Street.
