NOPD Arrests More Than 30 Individuals for Prostitution and Narcotics Violations

Since the New Year, the NOPD's Specialized Investigation Division (SID) Major Case Narcotics Section has arrested more than 30 subjects for prostitution throughout the city.

The First and Seventh Districts also assisted in apprehending subjects during vice operations. Some subjects faced additional charges for having multiple outstanding warrants and drug violations.

First District officers presented a check for $6,000 to their fellow officer Jackie Fontenot who’s currently fighting stage 4 cancer.

Last week, NOPD officers and along with two of the department’s chaplains gathered at the First District to pray over Fontenot and present her with a check to help with her medical bills.
