Former New Orleans Saints running back Deuce McAllister served as the keynote speaker at the ceremony, which included remarks from Superintendent Michael Harrison and Mayor Mitch Landrieu.
Speaking to the newest class of NOPD recruit graduates, Mayor Mitch Landrieu told recruits that they will be "the best that America has to offer" and the ones to keep America free.
