Suspect Arrested After SWAT Roll in First District

NOPD officers have arrested Noble Thomas (DOB:10/12/1985) after a SWAT roll that occurred Monday (Oct. 18) in the First District.

At around 10:30 a.m., First District officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1500 block of North Dupree Street. Upon arrival, the officers were notified that Thomas fired a weapon and was possibly still inside of the location. NOPD’s Special Operations Division officers were notified and soon after a SWAT Roll was declared.

Officers called out for Thomas to exit the location, but there was no response. Through communication with negotiators and sources connected to Thomas, officers learned that Thomas may have relocated to the intersection of Mandeville and North Johnson streets.

At around 4:25 p.m., officers located Thomas at the location, where he was apprehended and taken into custody. No injuries were reported. Thomas was transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center where he was booked with one count of Aggravated Assault, one count of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property and one count of Illegal Use of Weapons.
