Suspect Wanted for Theft on St. Philip Street

The NOPD is looking for an unknown man subject after he was seen on surveillance video taking several copper coils from a business on September 5, 2017.

At about 2:45 a.m., the above pictured suspect climbed up onto the roof in the 2800 block of St. Philip Street where there were seven air conditioning units properly working. The suspect then used an unknown tool and broke apart each unit. He then cut the copper tubes from each and took several pieces before fleeing the location.

The total cost of damages in this incident is around $40,000.00.
