Suspect Wanted for Multiple Violent Crimes by Sex Crime Detectives

The NOPD Sex Crimes Unit has obtained an arrest warrant for Jarmal J. Massey (DOB:09/16/1983) in connection with multiple violent crimes including second degree rape and kidnapping.

On Friday, September 29, 2017, the above pictured subject was identified as the offender of a second degree rape that occurred in the 7500 block of Rochon Drive. During the incident, the offender made violent treats toward the victim and refused to let her leave the location. Massey also committed crimes of non-consensual disclosure of a private image, harassment by phone calls and extortion.

Massey is currently wanted for:

R.S. 14:42.1 – Second Degree Rape

R.S. 14:44.1 – Second Degree Kidnapping

R.S. 14:283.2 – Nonconsensual Disclosure of a Private Image 

R.S. 14:285 – Harassment

R.S. 14:66 - Extortion

He is considered armed and dangerous.
