Suspect Arrested for Multiple Domestic Charges

The NOPD Seventh District has arrested Negus Green (DOB: 7-30-1997) for multiple domestic charges including domestic aggravated assault and acts of domestic violence by strangulation.

The incident happened on September 13, 2017. At around 10 a.m., Seventh District officers responded to a domestic battery call in the 12000 block of I-10 Service Road. Once on scene, the victim told police she and Green were involved in an altercation where he physically assaulted her and pointed a rifle at her face. The victim told police Green then took off in her car and tossed her laptop to the ground causing it to break. He was quickly apprehended by Seventh District officers in the 12000 block of Morrison Road without incident. 

He was arrested and booked with domestic aggravated assault, acts of domestic violence by strangulation, domestic abuse battery, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and simple criminal damage.

During the course of the investigation, officers located a shotgun that was used during the incident.
