NOPD Searching for Suspects in Theft on St. Charles Avenue

The NOPD is seeking to identify and locate two suspects seen on surveillance footage stealing a tuba in the 1800 block of St. Charles Avenue on September 10, 2017.

At about 9:10 a.m., the victim arrived in the area and placed the pictured tuba in front of his girlfriend’s vehicle in the parking lot. The victim then went inside the Walgreens pharmacy to obtain the vehicle keys. When he returned to the location where he left the tuba, the instrument was missing.

After reviewing surveillance footage, the pictured unknown female and an unknown male were seen taking possession of the tuba and placing it inside of a dark-colored SUV before fleeing the scene.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Sixth District detectives at 504-658-6060. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
