Members of the NOPD joined other First Responders in participating in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb event at 400 Poydras Tower on Sept. 9, 2017
The annual event pays tribute to the 343 firefighters, 60 law enforcement officers, and eight emergency medical technicians that made the ultimate sacrifice with their lives during the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
The event also honors and remembers those first responders from across the Gulf south who have died in the line of duty.
