NOPD Continues Search for Suspects in Homicide on Olive Street

NOPD Homicide detectives continue to search for three suspects wanted in connection with the June 14, 2017 homicide of 21-year-old Brayanta Ketchens in the 7800 block of Olive Street.

At about 11:11 a.m., Second District officers responded to a complaint call of a possible forced entry into a residence in the 7800 block of Olive Street. Officers then received a call of shots fired in the same area. Upon arrival at the residence, officers discovered an unresponsive body of a female suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside the residence. The victim, later identified as Ketchens, was pronounced dead at the scene.

On June 28, NOPD Violent Offender Warrant Squad officers arrested Kenneth Murdock (DOB: 1/31/1996) on a warrant for principal to second degree murder in connection with this incident.

Michael Meyers (DOB: 07-14-1994) is wanted for second degree murder in relation to this incident.

Nelson Raymond IV (DOB: 08-14-1993) is wanted for principle to second degree murder in this incident.

Jamaal “JD” Horton (DOB: 04-28-1993) is wanted for a DNA sample in relation to the incident.
