In Case you Missed it...NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt Featured Two NOPD Officers

Fourth District officer James Caire and Fifth District Sgt. Gregory Johnson were featured on NBC’s Nightly News with Lester Holt on Wednesday during special segment called Those Who Serve.

The feature story focused on their work as NOPD officers and band volunteers at  McDonough 35 High School.

Both officers, who are also brothers, have volunteered their time after school teaching students who play percussion instruments and participate on the color guard team for the last five years. The segment features a number of students that both officers have worked closely with over the last few years.

Back in March of 2017, CNN got a hold of the story produced by the NOPD Public Affairs office and decided to feature both officers during their special segment called Beyond the Call of Duty.

The NOPD's Public Affairs Office published and produced the original story on both brothers back in January.
