NOPD Investigating Homicide in Fifth District

NOPD Investigating Homicide in Fifth District

The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred today (November 10, 2023) in the 2300 block of Delery Street that left one person dead.

At about 5:13 p.m., NOPD Fifth District officers responded to a call of a shot person at the location. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male who sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was declared deceased on scene.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive. No additional details are currently available.

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
