UNO Armed Robbery Suspects, Looking for Drugs, Mistakenly Targeted Victims, Demanded Cash

The NOPD search continues for two subjects wanted in connection with a Third District armed robbery.

Investigators now believe that the victims in this incident were mistakenly targeted by the subjects, who believed the victims were in possession of narcotics.

Detectives also believe that when the subjects learned the victims were not in possession of any narcotics, they forced them to withdraw cash from two banking locations.

Around 1 p.m., on Wednesday, October 31, the two pictured subjects allegedly forced their way into the victims’ apartment at gunpoint and then to a vehicle. The suspects forced victims drive to multiple banking locations and withdraw money. The two suspects fled in a black four-door Chevrolet Malibu bearing temporary license tag number 08114T2.

One of the suspects is described as a black female standing approximately 5’4” and weighing about 180 pounds wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt with the hood over her head and gray sweat pants, armed with a handgun. The second suspect is described as a black male standing approximately 5’8” and weighing about 145 pounds, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark blue jeans.

Anyone with information on this incident, the pictured suspects or the pictured vehicle is asked to contact NOPD Third District detectives at 504-658-6030 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
