An unknown black male committed an armed carjacking in the 3700 block of Red Oak Court on October 31, 2016, and the NOPD is seeking help from the public in locating the vehicle stolen and/or the person responsible.

The victim told police that at about 8:30 p.m., she parked her vehicle – a 2009 silver Infiniti G37 bearing Louisiana license plate # TIV804 – in the area. After exiting, the victim was approached by the unknown male wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt. The male then produced a small black handgun and demanded the keys to the vehicle. The victim told police she threw the keys at the subject, who grabbed the keys and fled the scene in the vehicle.

The suspect in this incident is described as a brown-complexioned black male, approximately 5’6” to 5’8” tall and about 16 to 17 years old with a slim build and a short “stiff” curly hairstyle.
