NOPD Investigating a Homicide at South Saratoga and Erato

NOPD Investigating a Homicide at South Saratoga and Erato

The NOPD Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of an adult male victim. The incident was reported on November 24, 2016, at around 11:53 p.m., near the intersection of South Saratoga and Erato Streets.

Officers were called out to investigate a call of a man shot on South Saratoga Street. Upon arrival, officers found the unresponsive victim in the driver seat of a 2000 Nissan Maxima suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation is on-going and detectives are investigating to determine a motive and a suspect(s) in the incident.

The Coroner's office will release the identity of the victim once his family is notified.
