Suspect Arrested for Armed Robbery on Franklin Avenue

NOPD officers in the Fifth District arrested Tyrone Scott (DOB: 07/21/93) on Monday for an armed robbery incident that occurred at a local McDonald’s restaurant.

The incident happened on May 20, 2018. At around 6:02 a.m., the below-pictured subject entered the McDonald’s restaurant located in the 2600 block of Franklin Avenue and approached the shift manager. The suspect then produced a firearm and pointed the weapon at the manager. The suspect then escorted the manager to the rear of the business where he demanded she open the rear register and the safe. The manager complied and the perpetrator confiscated an undisclosed amount of currency and coins before fleeing the location.

Through intelligence gathering, officers arrested Scott on Monday, May 21, 2018, at about 8 p.m. in the Seventh District. He was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for armed robbery.
