NOPD Seeking Suspect in Robbery & Stabbing

The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating a subject wanted in connection with a robbery and stabbing.

On June 2, 2023, at about 5:45 a.m., Sixth District officers were called to the 700 block of Howard Avenue for a reported robbery.  The victim stated the incident actually happened at St. Joseph and Carondelet Street.

That's where the victim says he was approached by an unknown black male on a bike who tried to rob him of his backpack.  When the victim refused, the perpetrator pulled a knife and proceeded to stab the victim in the right hand and arm.

Through investigation, detectives positively identified the pictured male as the perpetrator in this incident.  He is described as riding a bike that was possibly a Huffy brand cruiser with the logo 'Huffy' printed on it in silver paint with a black basket.

Anyone with information on this incident or who knows the identity of the suspect is asked to contact any Eighth District detective at 504-658-6080 or Crimestoppers anonymously at (504)822-1111, or toll-free at 1(877)903-7867.
