The NOPD is seeking to locate and identify a suspect seen on surveillance video in a purse snatching that occurred on July 21, 2017 in the 800 block of Ursulines Street.
At approximately 1 a.m., the 78-year-old female victim was seen on surveillance footage attempting to enter her residence when an unknown subject approached her on a bicycle. The subject removed a purse from the victim’s shoulder and fled on a bicycle towards North Rampart Street.
The victim described the perpetrator as a black male, possibly between the ages of 19 to 25 and wearing a grey shirt and jeans. The subject may have also been wearing rubber boots.
