NOPD Obtains Arrest Warrant for Suspect involved in Multiple Armed Robberies

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Gregory Perriera (DOB: 4-24-1986) regarding a recent armed robbery that occurred on July 8, 2017.

At about 4:30 a.m., Seventh District officers responded to an armed robbery in the 7000 block of Bullard Avenue. During the robbery, the pictured individual entered the store through a rear unlocked door with a firearm and demanded money from the cashier. The cashier complied and the subject fled the location.

Seventh District detectives began working with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office regarding several robberies that shared striking similarities. A few days after the incident, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office apprehended Perriera. At the time of his arrest, detectives recovered physical evidence which tied him to the armed robbery on Bullard Avenue.

An arrest warrant was then issued for Perriera for armed robbery with a firearm and illegal discharge of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Perriera is facing a total of eight armed robbery charges in Jefferson and Orleans Parishes.

He is currently incarcerated at the Jefferson Parish Correctional facility.
