The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 19-year-old male. The incident was reported this morning, July14, 2017, around 7:06 a.m., in the 8500 block of Jeanette Street.
Second District officers were called out to investigate a call of a man shot on Jeanette Street. Upon arrival officers found the unresponsive victim lying face up on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
The investigation is on-going and detectives are investigating to determine a motive and a suspect(s) in the incident.
