Suspect Identified in Homicide on De’Armas Street

Suspect Identified in Homicide on De’Armas Street

 

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Charles Johnson (DOB: 01-28-1992) on a charge of second-degree murder in an incident that occurred on December 11, 2016 in the 3300 block of De’Armas Street.

At about 9:28 p.m., Fourth District officers respond to an aggravated battery by shooting call in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment, but later died as a result of his injuries.

During investigation, detectives were able to develop Johnson as the suspect in this incident.
