Routine Traffic Stop by NOPD Leads to Narcotics & Arrest

 A routine traffic stop in the Seventh District led to the arrest of a suspect for possession of illegal narcotics.

On January 22, 2024, at about 8:20 p.m., officers were patrolling in the 7000 block of Crowder Boulevard when they conducted a vehicle stop.

The driver, Terence Files, Black male, DOB: 11-26-1990, was detained after officers observed narcotics in plain view.

After obtaining a search warrant, officers confiscated various drugs and paraphernalia.

Files was arrested on various narcotics charges as well as outstanding warrants.

He was booked accordingly into the Orleans Justice Center.
