The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred this evening (January 29, 2024) in the 4300 block of Louisa Drive.
At about 4:03 p.m., NOPD Third District officers responded to a call of a shot person. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside of a vehicle at that location.
The victim was declared deceased on scene by EMS.
Investigators are gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident and a motive. There are no additional details currently available.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and official cause of death upon completion of the autopsy and notification of the family.
