Suspects Sought by NOPD in Business Burglary on St. Bernard Avenue

The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying and locating two suspects seen in connection with the burglary of a business in the 2300 block of St. Bernard Avenue on January 18, 2018.

The manager of Joe’s Package Liquor told police that at about midnight on January 18, she arrived at the location and noticed the building’s metal gate and wooden door had both been pried open. The manager entered the building to find the ATM machine inside had been defeated, with money missing from inside of the machine.  The manager said that nothing else appeared to have been taken during the incident.

Video surveillance showed two unknown males at the scene at the time of the incident removing circuit breakers from the building’s electrical panels, which then shut down the store’s video surveillance. The two are believed to be responsible for the burglary.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or the pictured individuals is asked to contact First District detectives at 504-658-6010. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
