NOPD Searching for Vehicle Stolen During Armed Robbery

The NOPD is searching for a vehicle stolen during a Second District armed robbery.

On Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at 6:04 p.m., the victim was parking her 2009 Volvo with a Louisiana license plate 977BMJ in the 2500 block of Peniston Street when she observed three black males pacing in the driveway.

The victim parked her vehicle when she observed an unknown black male, about five feet seven inches tall, dressed in dark clothing.

The subject then approached the victim armed with an unknown type handgun. The subject then demanded the victim’s keys while two other subjects, described as black males, demanded the victim’s purse.

The victim complied and handed over her keys, at which time the three suspects entered the victim’s vehicle and fled north on Peniston Street before turning right on Freret Street.

The subjects in this incident should be considered armed and dangerous.
