NOPD Arrests Three Men on Drug and Weapons Charges

The NOPD arrested three individuals in the Fifth District of charges of possession drugs and firearms.

 

On Friday, January 19, 2018, Fifth District officers were patrolling in the 3200 block of St. Claude Avenue when they stopped a vehicle occupied by three individuals.

 

Through the course of the investigation, the officers recovered two firearms, crack cocaine, heroin, and marijuana from the vehicle.

 

Johnny Walsh (DOB: 8/30/1997) was found to be in possession of a firearm, marijuana, and crack cocaine.

 

David Foster (DOB: 8/18/1998) was found to be in possession of a stolen firearm (reported stolen from the Seventh District), crack cocaine, heroin, and marijuana.

 

Chavez Jackson (DOB: 7/22/1991) was found to be in possession of crack cocaine.

 

It was also discovered that Foster was wanted by the Seventh District detectives for theft of the firearm that he was found to be in possession of at the time of the traffic stop.

 

Additionally, an arrest history check revealed that Johnny Walsh was a convicted felon.
