NOPD Identifies Suspect in Home Invasion

The NOPD is seeking to locate a subject wanted in connection with a home invasion in the Seventh District.

On February 21, 2024 at about 9:56 a.m., the victims were inside a building in the 12,000 block of South I-10 Service Road when the suspect arrived and began a conversation with them through the door.

The suspect asked the victims to rent a car for him. When they refused, he allegedly kicked in the door, pointed a gun at one of the victims and pistol-whipped the other.

The suspect then fled in a red Toyota 4Runner-possibly a rental vehicle.

Through investigation, detectives identified Gregory Davis, (pictured, Black male DOB: 8/7/1986) as the alleged perpetrator in this incident.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Davis on charges of home invasion and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Davis is asked to contact Seventh District detectives at (504) 658-6070 or Crimestoppers anonymously at (504) 822-1111.

All persons are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty.
