Suspect Wanted in Aggravated Assault on Music Street

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Eugene Scarborough (DOB: 07-11-1986) in connection with an aggravated assault with a firearm that occurred on February 11, 2018 in the 2300 block of Music Street.

At about 11:00 p.m., the victim was inside of a residence in the area talking with members of her husband’s family. The victim told police that she told members of her husband’s family that she is ending the marriage with her husband, later identified as Scarborough. The victim stated the wanted subject entered the residence and became enraged with the victim, allegedly striking the victim with a closed fist several times in the face before family members forced him out of the residence. About an hour later, Scarborough reportedly returned to the location and pointed a firearm at family members, who forced him from the location. The wanted subject allegedly threatened to shoot family members and kill his wife before he left the scene.

Scarborough is wanted for two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of domestic abuse battery, simple assault and simple criminal damage to property. The wanted subject is also wanted for several other outstanding warrants at this time.
