NOPD Arrests Suspect Seen Firing Gun near Busy Intersection in Seventh District

Officers in the Seventh District arrested Coreyell Williams (DOB: 11/14/99) on February 12, 2018 for illegally carrying a firearm and discharging the weapon.

At around 4:37 p.m., a Seventh District detective was patrolling around the intersection at Crowder Boulevard and Dwyer Road when the detective observed the above pictured individual acting suspicious. The detective saw Williams remove a firearm and began firing multiple gunshots across the busy intersection. 

The detective, who witnessed the incident, was able to safely apprehend Williams without further incident and prevent any further risk of random gunfire striking an innocent bystander.
