The NOPD is asking for the public's help in locating a juvenile suspect wanted in connection with an aggravated assault with a firearm that occurred on December 8, 2023, in the 14500 block of Duane Road.
Sixteen-year old Kai Jefferson (pictured) is wanted by the NOPD on three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and one count of simple criminal damage.
On December 8, the victim reported that Jefferson allegedly pointed a firearm at her and threatened to shoot her. The victim also reported that Jefferson allegedly threatened her with a firearm on several other occasions.
Jefferson is also wanted by the Office of Juvenile Justice for escape from custody.
He is described as a black male, 5'6" tall weighing approximately 135lbs.
This information is being released in accordance with regulations under Louisiana Laws Chidren's Code 412.
