ARRESTED: NOPD Apprehends Subjects in Fatal Carjacking on Prentiss Avenue

NOPD officers have arrested three subjects in connection with a fatal carjacking that occurred in the Third District.

On November 27, 2018, Third District officers responded to a call reporting a carjacking in the 2400 block of Prentiss Avenue. The perpetrator was allegedly fleeing in the stolen vehicle when he struck the victim, leaving her critically injured. The victim later died at a local hospital as a result of injuries.

The investigation into this incident lead to the arrest of Jontrell Robinson (DOB: 09/06/2001), Edwin Cottrell (DOB: 03/12/2000), and a known juvenile. Robinson was booked with second degree murder and carjacking. Cottrell was booked with principal to second degree murder and principal to carjacking. The known juvenile was booked with principal to second degree murder and principal to carjacking.
