Suspect Arrested for Two Counts of Armed Robbery in Sixth & Seventh Districts

The NOPD Seventh District arrested Derrick Robins (DOB: 7-28-1999) today (Dec.14) at his residence for two counts of armed robbery.

The first incident occurred on November 14, 2017 in the 4900 block of Alsace Street where Robins robbed a female victim and fled with her rose-gold colored I-phone and cash.

About two and a half hours later, Robins then robbed a second female victim at the intersection of General Pershing and Constance Streets where he took off with a second rose-gold colored I-phone and cash.

Through the course of the investigation, Sixth District and Seventh District detectives were able to identify Robins as the perpetrator in both incidents. With assistance from the VOWS Unit, he was apprehended at his home around 7:30 a.m. in the 13000 block of Cherbourg Street during the execution of a search warrant.
