Vehicle Taken During Armed Robbery on Desire Street

Fifth District officers are searching for a 2005 Hyundai Elantra that was taken during an armed robbery and the female suspect involved in the incident. 

The incident happened on August 16, 2017.  At about 4:45 p.m., the victim was picking up her daughter in the 2100 block of Desire Street when an unknown black female approached her driver’s side window which was down at the time.  The suspect then produced a semi-automatic handgun, grabbed the victim’s arm and entered the vehicle. The suspect then drove off in the victim’s vehicle and fled northbound down Desire Street then in an unknown direction.

The perpetrator is described as a black female with a dark complexion, twist or dreadlock styled hair. The subject is also described as being 5'6" tall and was last seen wearing all dark-colored clothing.
