Vehicle Stolen at Music Street and North Johnson

Vehicle Stolen at Music Street and North Johnson

The NOPD is looking for a vehicle stolen during an armed carjacking at Music and North Johnson streets.

 

The victim reported that on August 16, 2017, at approximately 10:05 a.m. he picked up an unknown male at the intersection of North Galvez Street and St. Bernard Avenue. When they arrived at the intersection of Music and North Johnson streets. the unknown subject pulled a firearm and demanded the victim exit the car. The victim complied and the subject fled in the vehicle.

 

The stolen vehicle is described as a blue 2003 four-door Toyota 4-Runner that has a temporary Louisiana license plate. It has factory tint on the rear passenger, driver's side windows and the vehicle’s rear window, but no tint on the front driver and passenger's side windows. A photo of a similar make and model is included.

 

The perpetrator is described as a black male, approximately 5’8” tall, weighing 160 pounds, with a brown complexion and a beard. He was wearing a black fitted cap, cut-up blue jeans and white t-shirt.
